2011-2012 Officers Elected
Elections were held at the May 3rd meeting, and the following people were elected to serve
during the 2011-2012 school year:
- President: Melissa McNaughton
- Vice President: Michelle Adie
- Secretary: Coleen McCollough
- Treasurer: Molly Olson

SHS Show Choir in the News
On December 19th, 2010, the SHS Show Choir performed with Bronn Journey at the Everett Performing
Arts Center. Their performance was so remarkable as to move one reader of the Everett Herald to
write a letter to the editor praising their efforts. Great job!

Victoria Parade Competition Monday, May 23, 2011
Kudos to all of the hard-working and playing students who performed in the 2011 Victoria Day Parade!
The following is where the Sultan High School Marching Turks placed within the results of the judges' decisions:
- American Bands - population under 1,200:
- First - Sultan High School
- Second - Chimacum High School
- Third - Marysville-Pilchuck High School
- American Drill Teams - population under 1,200:
- First - Shorewood High School
- Second - Tumwater Middle School
- Third - Sultan High School
Great job, eh?! We are VERY proud of them, and their diligence and honorable representation of their school and community.
Wenatchee Parade Competition May 9, 2011
On May 7, 2011, the Sultan High School Marching Band & Auxiliary competed at the annual Apple Blossom Parade in Wenatchee. The results were as follows:
- First Place in the AA Division - Band
- First Place in the AA Division - Color Guard/Drill

Auburn Competition November 6, 2010
On November 6, 2010, the Sultan High School Marching Band & Auxiliary competed in Auburn! The results were as follows:
- Second Place with a score of 79.95 - the highest score we've ever gotten at Auburn!
- Best Color Guard - a score of 16 beat all the other schools regardless of division!
- Best General Effect
This is an outstanding finish to the season! Congratulations!!!

Everett Competition October 23, 2010
On October 23, 2010, the Sultan High School Marching Band & Auxiliary Took the field to compete in Everett.
The Turks took Fifth Place in the AA Division, and unfortunately did not qualify for finals. We'll get 'em
next year!

Tumwater Competition October 9, 2010
On October 9, 2010, the Sultan High School Marching Band & Auxiliary competed in Tumwater! The results were as follows:
- Second Place in the AA Division
- Best Drum Majors
- Best Marching

Silverdale Competition September 27, 2010
On September 25, 2010, the Sultan High School Marching Band & Auxiliary unleashed their presence upon their inaugural field show competition in lovely Silverdale! The results were as follows:
- Second Place in the AA Division
- Best Color Guard (overall)
