Sultan choir makes great concert even better
A giant round of applause is in order for the splendid performance by Bronn and
Katherine Journey at the Everett Performing Arts Center on Dec. 19.
I attended the performance somewhat by surprise and without expectation. But I was
quickly mesmerized by the perfect voice of Katherine and entertained by the
wit and musical skill of her husband, harpist Bronn.
On top of their well-chosen, seasonal repertoire, this easy-listening team had the
artistic insight to add the talented Sultan High School Choir as a special feature into
their show. Wow! Those kids did a 23-minute, rollicking, precision-choreographed,
popular song medley that was so fun and joyful that I was sorry to see it end. Thanks
to everyone who worked so hard to provide a most entertaining evening. I hope to see
more of the Journeys and the Sultan High School choir in the future.
